Most of our toppings are delivered washed, sliced and ready to use, eliminating most preparation work. Our register system can be accessed remotely, allowing our franchisees to check on the business from home or their PDA. Our variety of franks, salads and sandwiches allows us to capitalize on what is known as the “veto vote” in the restaurant industry…where the person who wants the more unusual item dictates to the others where they go to eat, because the others can be satisfied more easily.
What tools and resources do you provide for franchisees?
We are a full-service franchisor. We will will assist in finding and evaluating locations, lease negotiations, blueprints and build out. We will provide advice and counsel every step of the way. We provide marketing materials, assist in developing the marketing plan, and have all sources of supply set up. We visit locations often to make sure they are run to standards, and are always just a phone call away when needed.
What training and support do you offer?
Training takes place at FRANKLY U, in Miami, Florida, in our corporate training center. It is a combination of classroom and day-to-day practical in one of our restaurants. It consists of 1-2 weeks of training, depending upon the skills of the candidate.
There is an additional 1-2 weeks of training that takes place on location, in the franchisee’s restaurant, helping them train their employees. Typically, this will start the week before opening, and end after the first full week the restaurant is open, unless more support is needed. Although we visit our restaurants frequently, we are always only a phone call away.
How do you differentiate yourselves from the competition?
No one else offers the ease of day-to-day operations and the variety of products we sell. Our topping bar consists of almost 50 toppings from which our customers can build their frank, salad or sandwich. And we do not nickel and dime our customers…they can choose three or 30 toppings at no extra charge. At Franktitude, our customers can eat as healthy or as hearty as they want!
What opportunities exist in your franchise category?
The fast casual segment in the restaurant is the fast growing in the category today. This is because it is between Fast Food and Casual Dining. Fast casual offers high quality at a value…people don’t always want to spend $15-$25 for lunch. They are learning that fast casual offers the same high quality food as a sit down restaurant, yet is faster and more economical. Typically the only trade off is that they don’t have somebody coming to their table to wait on them.
